Citrus blast has 38g of sugar and 140 calories, and is caffeine free. Pepsi’s website reveals this soda has a splash of real grapefruit juice, most likely to compete with other manufacturer’s grapefruit lineups. With trademarks filed by Pepsi in 2010, this drink is one of their brand new sodas for 2011.
Mike’s Thoughts
Sweet, carbonated, and a blast of citrus. Those were the thoughts that hit my mind first upon first tasting the Citrus Blast soda. While there isn’t much of an aftertaste, this soda is packed with a generic citrus flavoring, although I’m not sure which citrus flavor the manufacturers were after. It does smell slightly of an orange or tangerine, though. A delightfully refreshing soda, Citrus Blast makes for a great summer drink. This soda would be great paired with punch or alcoholic beverage.

Spencer’s Thoughts
You can smell the citrus smell as soon as you open it. My first sip was a very sour and citrusie taste. It really woke up my mouth. I took this sip at around 10am. It really woke me up with a sour waking feeling. Doesn’t really have a flavor except a hint of lemon and citrus. It is very carbonated. I won’t recommend drinking this Citrus Blast really fast. It is caffeine free so you wont stay awake if you drink it with a late dinner. There is only 38g of sugar per can. Even with a second sip, it is still very strong sour taste. Definitely great if you like strong sour stuff.

Debbie’s Thoughts

From a person who hates soda, the Citrus Blast is light and refreshing. It has a nice blend of not too much sweetness and the citrus bursts in my mouth. It doesn’t leave any kind of aftertaste and it quenches my thirst.

Where is this great tasting stuff?? We had it @ Thanksgiving 2011 & everyone liked it. @ the time it was available only @ Target? But I could never find it there. & how about a sugar free/caffiene free version. I don’t usually like drinks like this, but this was a winner! Thanks
